NYFPN Reading Group

This site is devoted to a reading group for NYC area programmers interested in functional programming and programming theory. Founding member Jeff Polakow has described the purpose of the group as follows:

"To discuss academic PL papers with potential interest/applicability to us working programmers. This means more focus on functional pearl type papers than the latest categorical gymnastics. I envision the meetings as a discussion, rather than a presentation, led by someone who has already read the topic paper."
